Ringwood Outdoors is a program created by the Environmental Commission to encourage residents to enjoy, preserve and protect the unique natural beauty of Ringwood. A variety of outdoors activities are presented seasonally, including leisure walks, scenic hikes and bike rides. Many Ringwood Outdoors activities are designed to be both challenging and kid-friendly, and anyone who completes 3 activities from one category earns recognition as a "R.O.C. -- a Ringwood Outdoors Champion." Group outdoors events are presented frequently, and activities have included walks and bike rides near the Botanical Gardens, Skylands Manor, Ringwood Manor and Weis Ecology Center. Anyone interested in participating or volunteering should contact Commissioner Mike McCormick at ringwoodoutdoor@optonline.net.

RINGWOOD OUTDOORS for 2012

Ringwood Outdoors has expanded its set of challenges for 2012.  You will find the Student Edition, which is our standard set of hikes and walks geared toward families and all levels of hikers/walkers.  By popular demand and brand new for this year, we've also devised for active adults a Wildman Edition, which includes an opportunity to join Ringwood Outdoors through running, mountain biking or road biking, and also challenges you to very (perhaps even insanely) difficult hikes.

NEW for 2012 - anyone who achieves "R.O.C. (Ringwood Outdoors Champion) status will receive an embroidered Ringwood Outdoors bag tag to show your pride in our town.  Stay tuned for the chance to win huge prizes throughout the year.

Please check out our challenges and get ready for a great year of "Ringwood Pride!  Get Outside!".  If you have any questions or if there were any problems with the attachments, let us know.  All route information and necessary links are included in the "Trail Info" attachments and all of this information is posted on www.coolringwood.org.
