CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION MATERIALS MUST NOW BE RECYCLED
As mandated by the State of New Jersey and the Passaic County Office of Recycling, it is mandatory to recycle the folowing construction materials and demolition debris: concrete, brick, asphalt, asphalt based roofing scrap, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, piping, non-chemically treated wood and tree stumps.
*It is the responsibility of you, the resident and/or your contractor to properly recycle these items. Upon disposal of these items you must obtain a weight tonnage slip that should be forwarded to the Ringwood Recycling Coordinator for recycling tonnage credit. Our solid waste contractor, by law, cannot pick up garbage containing construction and demolition materials. Additionally, if you are moving or have a large volume of heavy bulk waste, you must make private arrangements to have these items hauled away.
