Welcome to the Ringwood Health Department

The Ringwood Health Department carries out the policies of the Board of Health and the New Jersey State Department of Health. The Health Officer, licensed by the state, is the Administrative Officer and supervisor of the Health Office, which includes the Registrar of Vital Statistics, who keeps records of and issues birth, marriage, and death certificates, and an animal licensing clerk (download animal licensing form here). It also includes a Sanitarian who works with the Health Officer in enforcing sanitary and public health laws. Included are inspections of such things as food establishments, lakes, sanitary complaints, etc. The department also has a full-time Public Health Nurse Supervisor, as required by law.  For more information on what the Health Department does, click here.
