What Does the Health Department do?


The Ringwood Health Department is structured to deal with many issues that may affect the public health. To accomplish this, the Department houses eight employees who deal with different areas that affect public health.

Roy Stanley Registered Environmental Health Specialist In reference to: food establishment licensing, water quality, public health nuisances, environmental pollution, occupational and institutional health, and sewage disposal systems. Call 475-7125

Susan Wogisch Borough Nurse In reference to immunizations, public health clinics, public health screenings, etc. Call 962-4343
Lisa Perry Animal Control Officer Deals with: stray or unlicensed animals, nuisances, animal cruelty, rabies control, animal bites, and animal quarantine. Call 973-838-8959
  Public Health Educator To schedule participation in Health Promotional Programs such as courses in food handling, alcohol and drug  abuse, smoking, nutrition, or exercise.
