How Do I Get a Copy of My Survey From the Borough?

It is a popular misconception that the Borough has a survey for every property. Surveys are private transactions, typically ordered by the buyer at the time of acquiring a property.

The town may have a survey on file if it was provided by you or a prior owner for any number of reasons (ex. variance, septic installation, addition to a house.

To obtain a copy of your survey, submit an Open Public Records Request to the Clerk's Office/Records

Custodian. They have seven business days to fulfill your request. The form is on the homepage of the town website.

TIP: Older "surveys" obtained from the Health Department aren't actually surveys and are not accurate representations of the property. Generally, only true and accurate surveys will be accepted for zoning applications for many projects.
