Summary statement of Resolution 2023-120
The Resolution authorizes the Planning Board to undertake a preliminary investigation, and conduct a public hearing, to determine if the Fieldstone Shopping Center meets the criteria of an area in need of development.
If the area is recommended in need of redevelopment, the Borough has the option of developing a rehabilitation plan establishing specific standards reflective of the community’s vision to improve the property.

The Resolution authorizes the Planning Board to undertake a preliminary investigation, and conduct a public hearing, to determine if the former Mt. St. Francis Convent on Sloatsburg Road meets the criteria of an area in need of development.
If the area is recommended in need of redevelopment, the Borough has the option of developing a rehabilitation plan establishing specific standards reflective of the community’s vision to improve the property.
Summary of statement of Resolution 2023-130
The Borough is eliminating the Fieldstone and Ringwood Plaza Shopping Centers as sites for affordable housing due to matters pertaining to wastewater capacity necessary to service the sites. The Borough will seek other sites to meet its affordable housing obligation under New Jersey law.

The Resolution authorizes the Manager to fast-track efforts to revitalize the shopping centers and business development in general.
