Garbage & Recycling

CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION BEGINS APRIL 5th!

Curbside leaf collection is once per week in the Spring (April 1 through May 31), and in the Fall (October 1 through November 30). Leaves must be placed at curbside Monday mornings prior to 6:30 am. Leaf pickup will start Monday and continue throughout the week. Leaves must be placed in recyclable, biodegradable brown leaf bags (such as Union Camp, RCI or comparable bag). Bags are available for purchase at Home Depot, Stop & Shop, Sears and similar stores. Leaves may also be placed loose in trash cans provided the cans are no larger than 32 gal and weigh no more than 50 lbs. when filled. It is helpful to label leaf cans. No plastic bags will be accepted at curbside. Curbside leaf collection also includes small brush (plants, shrubs and tree branches). Brush must not exceed four feet in length and two inches in diameter and must be tied and bundled, placed in leaf bags or in cans. Leaves and small brush are accepted throughout the year at the Recycling Center and must be debagged when dumped. NO LOGS OR STUMPS WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO GRASS CLIPPINGS ALLOWED, as per State of NJ mandate. A list of Grass Markets can be found by clicking HERE

Questions about the Curbside Leaf Collection Program should be directed to Interstate Waste at (866) 342-5497.
