At this time, the data we have been providing has become inaccurate due to the increase in individuals performing home testing. Ringwood Schools is offering the 2nd round of on campus COVID-19 vaccinations at E.G. Hewitt Intermediate School for those who received the first dose on August 20, 2021. This event is Friday, September 10th from 3pm to 6pm. Walk-ins are welcome for the 3rd dose of the Pfizer vaccine for those who are immunocompromised. *MESSAGE FROM BOROUGH NURSE, JEANNETTE DAVISON, REGARDING UPDATED VIRUS NUMBERS: The communicable and reportable disease reporting system staff have been "scrubbing" data and this has led to an adjustment in our case counts for Ringwood. Non-residents who were previously listed as a Ringwood resident have been reassigned and placed in the correct town as a case. Therefore, you will see that there has been a decrease in our counts.
To add clarity, in the month of September there were 5 new cases (aged 25-63), despite the decrease in total case counts you are now seeing.

Due to the current restrictions due to COVID-19, the Borough is urging residents to pay taxes by check or money order and place in the drop box outside of Borough Hall. We also have on-line payment available on our website. If you must make a cash payment, you must schedule an appointment. 3/24/2020 COUNCIL MEETING UPDATE
Because of the coronavirus emergency, the following provisions shall apply to the conduct of the meeting:
1. Attendance at the meeting shall be limited to the Municipal Manager and the Municipal Clerk at the Borough Hall in the Council Chambers. Members of the Municipal Council and the Municipal Attorney will be in attendance via phone conference;
2. The meeting shall be televised on Public Access Channel 77, recorded and re-broadcast on Channel 77 and on YouTube.
3. Members of the public may participate in the public portions of the meeting as follows:
a. Call-in at 973-475-7100;
b. Each call-in shall be for a maximum of 3 minutes;
c. The public portions shall not exceed 30 minutes.

PROTECTING OUR FIRST RESPONDERS
For the protection of our first responders, if you call for assistance, please notify the dispatcher if you have a confirmed case of COVID-19, or if you are in self-quarantine for possible exposure. Let them know if anyone in the residence is sick with fever, chills, or a cough.
For all emergency calls, the first arriving unit (police, fire or EMS) will ask simple questions as a pre-screen for the protection of all involved. They will ask if anyone in the residence may have been exposed to the Coronavirus, or if anyone is sick. If the answer to either of these questions is YES, then the first responders will take the necessary precautions to protect themselves from exposure.
We will continue to provide the same professional services that our residents have come to expect. We are asking for your cooperation to ensure the health and safety of our personnel.

Atlantic Health is now offering a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Nurse Screening Hotline.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Nurse Screening Hotline will be staffed by trained Atlantic Health System nurses who will triage calls from patients and help guide their next steps in seeking care. Callers with clinical symptoms of concern or travel/exposure concerns will be connected with dedicated AMG physicians to assist in evaluation and triage.
The hotline will initially operate seven days a week from 7:00am to 7:00pm beginning March 11, at 862-260-3199.

PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS
What is a pandemic?
A pandemic is a widespread infectious disease, that sickens a large number of people worldwide.
What are some things we should be doing now to prepare for COVID-19 becoming a pandemic?
Some things we can be doing before a pandemic begins can include:
• Stocking up on a two-week supply of food and water
• Periodically check your regular prescription drugs to ensure a continuous supply in your home
• Have non-prescription drugs and other health supplies on hand including pain relievers/fever reducing medications, stomach remedies, cough and cold medicines, fluids with electrolytes, and vitamins, tissues.
• Stock up on household supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, etc.
• Get copies and maintain electronic versions of health records from doctors, hospitals pharmacies and other sources and store them for personal reference.
• Talk with family members and loved ones about how they would be cared for if they got sick, or what would be needed for them in your home.
• Have pet foods and supplies.
• Stock up on baby care items
• Plan for extended school and day care closures
• Talk to your employer about telecommuting opportunities in the event that movement of people is restricted
• Plan for a sick room in the home. Designate one room that would work best, usually a bedroom with its own bathroom that no one else will use. If someone in the home becomes ill, keep them in the sick room away from others.
